Post: Thomas Micheal Hudmon Obituary

December 16, 1943 ~ September 14, 2025 (age 81)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Mr. Thomas Micheal (Mike) Hudmon, 81. Mr. Hudmon died peacefully at his home on September 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Langdale, Alabama, he was a graduate of Valley High School and attended Southern Union College. He also served in the United States Navy and was stationed in California.

In his professional career, Mr. Hudmon was an industrial supply salesman for Georgia-Alabama Supply, later Dixie Industrial. Post retirement, he unexpectedly found joy driving a bus for the Troup County School System for thirteen years.

In his spare time, he was an avid hunter and diehard Alabama football fan. Roll Tide.

Mr. Hudmon was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Lee (J.L.) and Helen Hudmon; his brothers and their spouses, Larry and Elizabeth Hudmon, Jerry and Judy Hudmon, and Randy and Angie Hudmon; as well as nephew Marty Hudmon.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of forty-six years, Janet Hart Hudmon, his daughters Kimberley (Stacey) Morris and Hollie (Greg) Boddie, stepdaughter Nikki (Chris) Yetter, his grandchildren, Taylor (Lizzie) Morris and Kolbie (fiancé Caleb) Frailey, great-grandchild Henry Morris, step grandchildren Beatrice and Cecilia Yetter, and special family members Toby Sides and Tabitha Anglin, his beloved dog Charlie, as well as many other extended family members.

A memorial service to celebrate Mr. Hudmon’s life will be held at Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, AL at 3:00 PM (EDT) on Sunday September 21st. Pastor Steve York will officiate.  Mr. Hudmon’s family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM (EDT) until the service hour.  Flowers will be accepted or, alternatively, donations may be made in his honor to the Chattahoochee Humane Society.
