Marlin Lee Childs, 83, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away on, Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Marlin was born on November 12, 1941, to the late Virgil Fluno Childs and Melda Clarice Childs.
He was a long time member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Lanett, Alabama.
Marlin is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Damien Lowery.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Childs, brothers, William F. Childs and Larry W. Childs (Patti), daughter, Rita Marlene Lowery, son, Marty Lee Childs (Naomi), step children, David Lowery (Felicia), Wanda Smith (Lee), Keith Miles (Rachel), grandchildren, Misty Moncus, Amy Warner Perez (David), Brian Warner (Samantha), Tera Lowery, Kenadee Foster, great grandchildren, Camden Moncus, Emma Moncus, Rylan Lowery, Ryder Lowery, Alivia Warner, Savannah Warner, Beau Warner, and Mac Lowery.
Funeral Service will be held, Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Chapel of Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley, Alabama, at 2:30 P.M. (EST).
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. (EST), at the funeral home.
Interment will follow immediately after the service at Harmony Memorial Park in Lanett, Alabama.
