We report with heavy hearts the passing of Mr. John Hall, lovingly known as John to all, on the 24th of May 2025. Born in his family home in Clio, Alabama on January 8th, 1957, John sadly departed at the age of 68 in his residence in Opelika, Alabama, surrounded by his family.

John’s journey through life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, including his beloved wife of 31 years, Kathy Hall, his adored daughter, Tina Haynes along with her husband Tristian, and his cherished granddaughter, Tenslee Haynes. He leaves behind a legacy that will be carried forward by his valued nephews and nieces, Pat Dykes (Terri), Bennie Dykes (Vicki), Roy Dykes (Kim), Jason Roberson (Frannie), Brandi Hurst (J. R.), and Brock Roberson (Yvonne Lee).

His unrelenting work ethic was evident in his remarkable 45-year tenure as a career truck driver, a job that took him on countless adventures across the country. Not only was John an intelligent, handy, and interesting man, but his love for his family was also profound. His loyal companion schnauzer, Trux, was a testament to his caring nature, sharing four years of travel and companionship on the road.

John Hall’s life was a testament to the virtues of hard work, dedication, and the importance of family. He will be remembered fondly for his intelligence, skill, and captivating personality. His memory will live on as an inspiration to all who knew him.

Funeral services for John will be held on Thursday, May 29th, 2025, at 2:30 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home Chapel in Valley. Interment will follow in Harmony Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend John Samanie will officiate. John’s family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
