Post: Cleaning it Up: Valley Local & Valley Parks and Recreation Host Annual Valley Clean Up Day
On Saturday, Valley Local, along with Valley Parks and Recreation, hosted the annual Valley Clean Up Day from Langdale.
” Today, we had around 20 to 30 people show up and scatter throughout the community in the areas of Shawmut, Fob James Drive, Fairfax, and Langdale to collect trash. I would have to say this is a good day here in Valley, and we look forward to doing this again to get rid of the trash in the community”, said Valley Local Director Sara Crutchfield.
Accolades to Valley Parks & Recreation & City of Valley for an absolute super job in the planning & coordination of the city’s community clean-up. An extended thanks to the students as well.
We, the Village & Tree of Life, extend a personal thanks to Walmart, Kimble’s Corrections & Amazon for their sponsorship & support in helping to make this initiative such a huge success”, said the Village Group in a social media post.
A big thank you to SouthState Bank for donating a box of trash bags, Kanuf for donating a vest, and to all of the citizens. Students who showed up and collected over 20 bags of trash from all over our area.
“This will be a quarterly event, but we as a community have got to stop littering the area we call home”, added Crutchfield.
