” Open for Business” has become the city of the Valley’s motto over the past few years, and that trend seems to be growing, as motorists traveling down Highway 29 can attest.
Recently, that growth can be seen in Shawmut next to Chambley’s as dirt is currently being moved for a new access road connecting Highway 29 for development near the river.
“We are clearing off that property for the potential for commercial or residential development”, said Valley Mayor Leonard Riley.
The city of Valley continues to grow, and according to Riley, it is in the best financial shape it has been in the city’s 45-year history.
