Mr. James H. Taylor of Valley, Alabama passed away at his home on September 24, 2025. He was born on October 9, 1935 in Fairfax, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-seven years, Barbara (Betty) Taylor and his parents, Jimmy Frank Taylor and Doris Bryant Taylor.
Mr. Taylor attended Valley High School in Valley, Alabama. During his career, he was a textile supervisor for West Point Pepperell Bleachery & Dye Works.
His hobbies included riding his Harley motorcycles, watching Alabama football and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Taylor was Methodist by faith.
Survivors include his cherished daughters, Denise Hill of Valley, Alabama and Suzanne Chavez of Spring Hill, Florida. He is also survived by his adored grandchildren, Amber Tharp, Aubryn Shivers (Patrick), Noe Chavez (Kelly) and Anthony Chavez. Mr. Taylor is also survived by his great grandchildren including John Patrick Shivers, Taylor Blade Shivers, Adrian Noah Chavez, and Gabriella Taylor Chavez.
The family respectfully requests that there be no flowers or donations for Mr. Taylor.
A private family service will be held later for Mr. Taylor.
Valley-Point Funeral Home and Cremation in Lanett, Alabama, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
