Terry L. Strength, 62, of Lanett, Alabama, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 12, 1962, at Lanier Hospital in Valley, Alabama.
Terry was a man of unwavering faith who loved God and his family above all else. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Melissa (Missy) Strength, and a proud father to Christopher (Kayla) Strength, Amanda (Dr. Christopher Scott) Fay, Taylor Strength, and Tyler Strength. He was a beloved brother to Diane (Jonathan) Hodges, Gene (Melissa) Williams, and Alan (Carla) Williams and was deeply loved by many nieces and nephews. His grandchildren — Parker Otto, Callaway Strength, Liam Hyers, Cutler Strength, and Bradlee Harper — were his greatest joy and the light of his life.
Terry faithfully served as a deacon at Faith Temple Family Worship, where he lived out his faith through love, service, and kindness. He also served his country with honor and pride in the Army National Guard for 25 years, earning the respect of those who served alongside him.
A hardworking and passionate man, Terry was the proud owner of Allstar Automotive, where he was known throughout Chambers County as the best mechanic around. He loved working on cars, especially fast ones, and was a loyal fan of Alabama football. “Roll Tide!”
Terry will be remembered as a good man with a generous heart, a loyal friend, and someone who would do anything for anyone in need. His strength, humor, and compassion touched everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lemuel (Wimp) Strength, his mother, Jenny (Sharp) Williams, and his stepfather, Gibson Campozano.
Terry’s life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Terry’s life will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Evangel Temple, located at 1755 S Phillips Rd, Lanett, AL 36863.
