On Thursday, the East Alabama community came together to remember the lives lost and the bravery shown on September 11, 2001.
Following the ceremony, the community were honored to open the Tunnel to Towers 9/11 Mobile Exhibit on the Southern Union capmus in Opelika.
“We encourage everyone to visit this remarkable exhibit, reflect on its stories, and pay tribute to the heroes who will never be forgotten”, said the city in a press release.
