Post: OPELIKA ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT LEADERS ENCOURAGE OPELIKA PRE-K STUDENTS TO DREAM ABOUT THE FUTURE

OPELIKA, Ala. – The Opelika Economic Development team visited Pre-K students at Opelika High School to celebrate the start of their educational journey and encourage them to begin thinking about their futures.

Together, they spoke to the students about the exciting adventure of starting school, the many opportunities to learn, and the wide variety of careers available right here in Opelika.

Each child received a new t-shirt and was left with an important question:

“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Students eagerly responded with answers such as doctor, firefighter, nurse, and astronaut, showcasing the imagination andexcitement that accompany the start of their educational journey.

“Their energy and excitement were contagious,” said Grace Dark, Project Manager of Workforce Development.

“We are so proud to cheer them on as they begin their school year and start dreaming about their futures.”

The Opelika Economic Development team remains committed to supporting Opelika students at every stage of their educational journey. By engaging with students at an early age, the team hopes to spark curiosity and a sense of possibility that will grow with them throughout their school years and beyond.
