A great man of faith and integrity, passed away on May 31, 2025, at the age of 86 in Fairview, Alabama. Born on January 23, 1939, in Valley, Alabama, to the late Roy and Vera Mae Hadaway.

Clinton was a humble, hard-headed man with a warm sense of humor, whose life was defined by his unwavering devotion to his family, friends, and faith. Clinton was a tireless worker, dedicating 50 years of his life to West Point Stevens until his retirement. His love for the land was evident in the care he poured into his farm, where he found joy and peace. As the beloved pastor of Fairfax Congregational Holiness Church for 28 years, Clinton’s ministry touched countless lives, offering guidance, compassion, and steadfast leadership to his congregation.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sarah Ann Hadaway, and their children: Gene Hadaway (Sheryle), Cynthia Alewine (Billy), and Teresa Darby (Fletcher). Clinton’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Tommy Starling (Charlotte), Clint Starling (Beth), Tabitha Thomas (Stephen), Michael Hadaway (Phalisha), Brittany Hadaway McDonald, Tiffany Campbell, Hayle Yarbrough, Donnie Crews (Rachael), Darlene Johnson (Chad), Jonathan Moore (Elizabeth), and Samantha Moore. He was also blessed with 38 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply. Clinton is also survived by his siblings: Barry Hadaway, Sterling Hadaway, Janice Holman (Van), Jeff Hadaway (Pam), and sisters-in-law Tommie Lou Hadaway and Sheila Hadaway.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother Vivian Hadaway: brothers Kenneth Hadaway, Rolyn Hadaway, Gary Hadaway, sister-in-law, Elaine Hadaway, grandson, Sergeant Brandon Hadaway, and sister-in-law Sherry Hadaway. Clinton’s life was a testament to his faith, love, and commitment to those around him. His humor, kindness, and steadfast spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Funeral services for Clinton will be held on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at 2:30 PM (EDT) at Fairfax Congregational Holiness in Valley. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Brother Roger Luke will officiate. Clinton’s family will receive friends Monday June 2nd in the evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM (EDT) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley.
