Auburn, Ala – On Oct. 21, 2024, Auburn Police arrested Harold Jerome Moss Jr, age 51, from Tuskegee, Alabama on warrants charging him with 16 counts of fraudulent use of a debit/credit card, three counts of theft of property third degree, theft of property first degree, possession of marijuana second degree, disorderly conduct and attempting to elude a law enforcement officer.
The arrest stems from Auburn Police receiving reports of thefts that occurred on Sept. 23, 2024, Oct. 16, 2024 and Oct. 21, 2024. Each of the victims advised their wallets were taken from a business located near the 1500 block of Wire Road. Upon realizing their wallets were missing, the victims discovered multiple unauthorized charges were made using their cards at several businesses.
On Oct. 21, 2024, Auburn Police responded to a local business while one of the victim’s credit cards was being used. Upon officers’ arrival, Harold Jerome Moss, Jr. fled from officers on foot. He was subsequently apprehended and charged with multiple charges stemming from the thefts.
Moss was transported to the Lee County Jail and held on an $37,800 bond.
All defendants are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
