Post: Jack, Thrailkill, and Scott Score Big Wins in Georgia Run-Off Primaries

 


Results from last nights Troup County Primary Runoff


Brian Jack has won the Republican primary runoff in the race to represent the Republican Party in Georgia’s 3rd Congressional District in November.


In his bid to replace retiring Rep. Drew Ferguson, Jack defeated Mike Dugan securing 62.6% of the vote state-wide leaving no doubt.
Ferguson ,announced last year he would not be seeking re-election in a press conference.


The current Georgia Rep. and former WP Mayor announced on Dec. 14, 2023, that he plans to leave office after finishing his term next year, saying he looks forward to spending more time with his family.


Other results are as follows:


Troup County Commission District 2 – James Thrailkill secured a win against incumbent Ellis Cadenhead.


Troup County Commission District 3 – Rex Scott emerged victorious over incumbent Lewis Davis.


West Point had a say in Scott upsetting Lewis Davis as the city went 31-24 for the newly elected Commissioner Rex Scott.
