OPELIKA, AL (June 18, 2024) — Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) and Southern Union State Community College (SUSCC) have recently entered into a collaboration aimed at enhancing educational opportunities. The partnership, solidified by a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), ensures academic progression for students pursuing bachelor’s degrees in education.
Under this agreement, students at SUSCC will benefit from concurrent enrollment in GSW courses over a two-year period. Upon completion of their associate’s degree at SUSCC within this timeframe, eligible students will transition to GSW, with the opportunity to transfer up to 50% of their required credits for their chosen education program.
Both Southern Union and Georgia Southwestern are looking forward to the inaugural Fall semester under this initiative. The deadline for Fall registration is July 1st, 2024.
