Lanett- Last month Springwood’s Gracie Hanner, a standout student, and athlete signed her letter of intent to play golf at Point University. A reception was held at Springwood as her parents and extended family as well as friends, classmates, and teammates joined her on a special day.
Point University Womens Golf Coach Greg Boling was in attendance and presented Hanner with an official offer.
“We are very blessed and extremely thankful that Gracie has decided to join our program. She is going to do great things. Even if Gracie doesn’t become the best golfer in College Golf she will be, because she already is one of the best people in College Golf”, said Boling.
Hanner has been in the Springwood Golf Program for six years and has developed into one of Springwood’s best.
“She had never swung a golf club before joining the team and to see her sign a scholarship and to watch her grow has been a blessing to me”, said Springwood Golf Coach Tony White.
Afterward, Hanner signed with Point followed by a celebratory reception.
