A Special team and a special season are in the making at Valley… Over the weekend, The Valley Rams Boys Varsity Basketball was dominant and showed why they are a force to be wrecked within 5A.
On Friday, on Senior night in front of a packed home crowd, the Rams destroyed the Beauregard Hornets 67-38 and extended their winning streak to 21.
Although coach Marson Harper’s Rams got off to a slow start, The more talented Rams were too physical and too skilled for the smaller Hornets.
Valley was led by Cam Dooley with 13 points, who also added six rebounds, and two assists. Brandon Thomas was as impressive, posting a double-double with 12 points, and 11 rebounds.
On Saturday, Valley would extend the streak to 22 with a 71-41 over rival Lanett. Valley got off to a 10-2 start and never looked back. Valley was led by Jamarious Martin with 18 points. Cam Dooley was as impressive with 17 points, and 13 rebounds.
Up next for Valley is an area showdown with Tallassee on Tuesday.
