VALLEY- The unbeaten Valley Rams made easy work of Tallassee on Monday, rolling to a 72-47 victory before the home fans. It was the area opener for the Rams, who improved to 8-0 overall.
The high-flying Rams were led by Cam Dooley, who scored 21 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Jamarious Martin scored a season-high 19 points, and the senior point guard also had seven assists.
Brandon Thomas chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds, and Denali Dooley scored seven and seven rebounds.
The Rams came out hot and took a 22-12 lead after the first quarter, and they continued to pull away in the second quarter to take a 35-17 halftime lead. The Rams had a 53-34 lead through three quarters, and they continued to pull away in the final quarter.
Valley will now turn its attention to tournament play in Auburn this weekend.
